Al Santana

One oddity that most people don't know or remember is that the Power Pig had a soft side. There was a time that the Bay area was without any kind of outlet for jazz music so a three hour Sunday morning shift was given to Bay area jazz DJ vet Al Santana for the "Sunday Jazz Brunch". (Anyone remember the year by chance?). Al now handles middays at, where else Smooth Jazz WSJT 94.1.

"B.C."
Brian Christopher

After the dust settled from the Power Pig's absolute ass kicking of the Q (not braggin, it's just what happened), a few cool guys came out of the dust. One of em was former Q night guy "B.C." Brian Christopher". After a short stint running a station called "The Power COW" in Birmingham, he returned to Tampa and did weekends and a lot of fill-in work for the Pig, then went on to morning sickness both on 97.7 Pirate Radio and Rock 103 in Panama City, then to San Diego's Rock 105.3 for afternoons, back to Panama City then Atlanta for a while...we admit, we lost track. But now he's teamed with a hot blonde chick for the BC & Missi show in San Diego. All the while doing voiceovers for stations like Thunder103.5 here in Tampa. (not to be confused with another voice guy by the same name). Make sure you hear the audio of B.C. applying for the janitor job of the Tim & Tom show in the PIG PEN.

Beaver Stevens

Was an original weekend Pigger but didn't hang long. About eight years later he was heard doing weekends on rock station 107.9YNF in Sarasota. But his hang time was short again. Anybody know where he be?

Big Mama

Leader of 93.3FLZ's night show called "The Bad Boy Radio Show" from 2002 to April 2004. Who will ever forget M.I.L.F. Mondays huh? Mama is now known as "Big Tyme" on Minneapolis-St. Paul's B96.

Big Woody

CLICK LOGO to read some Pig thoughts from BIG WOODY

After a record setting 27 years of dubbing spots, Woody (aka Brad James) made his way to Program Director of sister sports station 620 WDAE The Sports Animal where he also hosted The Sports Animal Fishing Show on Sundays until he resigned in October of 2004. (Just kidding bout the dubbing... he was Production Director for 970WFLA and PIG/93.3FLZ for 15 years.)

BJ Harris

I think it's fair to call BJ the "father" of WFLZ. Started as midday Pig jock BJ "The Fatman", then lost weight everywhere but his head hence becoming "Fathead" of "Fathead & Marc In The Morning", then later taking over the Program Director and Operations Manager chairs when Marc Chase left. To listeners, he is best remembered as BJ from the very successful "MJ & BJ In The Morning Show". He now programs Alice 105.9/Denver.

Booger

First off, if you value life, don't call him Booger. He's tried real hard to shake that name and the only place that ever mentions it now is this site. (it's historical record Jeff) Jeff Kapugi as we all know him, started at The Pig from day #1, he "flipped The Pig" to people all over town, screwed the Q, was on-air, music director, assn't program director, even became program director of easy listening 103.5 WDUV for a little while when Jacor owned it. Then went to St. Louis to launch the very successful Z107.7. Came back home to lead us once again & is now Operations Manager/Program Director of 93.3FLZ!! He also oversees Operations of the new 95.7 The Beat and Mix 100.7.

Boner

Boner found it very easy to transition from his former job in the porn industry to Power Pig overnight radio DJ and keep the same name. We know him today as Hurricane "The Hitman" Stevens, the Executive Technical Producer of the MJ Morning Show network and the "Schnitt Show" network.

Brian Holmes

"Holmes" was a 93.3FLZ on air weekend warrior from 2002 to February 2004. His first position though goes all the way back to 1990 when he convinced management to give him an internship at just 15 years old (thanks Darcel)! Between 1990 and 2002, Holmes worked within parent companies Jacor and Clear Channel settings new standards. (We don't believe anyone else ever beat his record of six times being fired and then re-hired again). He's always considered himself The Power Pig / 93.3FLZ's biggest fan & proves it today as owner / webmaster of ThePowerPig.com You can also see his web site by CLICKING HERE.

Brian James

(no pun intended there Brian)

Brian was The Power Pig's Production Director and Creative Services guru (the guy with the BIG voice on all the station promos and funny bits like "The Power Pig Hidden Microphone"). Along the way, he pulled some weekend shifts, tried being one of the morning Three Little Pigs briefly and then got the afternoon talk gig down the hall on 970WFLA for a while followed by being the first morning man on then-1250 WDAE-The Sports Animal. Now he's the voice of many many stations across the country as well as the daily TV show EXTRA!

Bubba
The Love Sponge

Most people don't remember that after having been fired from almost every station he went too, The Power Pig was the first station that Bubba The Love Sponge felt comfortable calling home. He replaced what was then considered crude Tim & Tom with...well, let's just say he set new standards, not only for the Bay area but for radio period. Panties were off, no fetuses (kids under 18) were allowed and he was number one with most all ages the whole time he did nights. Ready for a new challenge, Bubba not only jumped from nights to morning drive in Tampa Bay, he also jumped from Top 40 to a rock station. His Bubba Radio Network (BRN) became syndicated in the morning PLUS was heard nationally on XM Satellite Radio's Extreme Channel 152 & all it was all just down the hall at 98 Rock. Bubba consistently was either #1 or #2 in the Tampa morning ratings, fighting off three other local rock stations. Janet Jackson's Super Bowl Boob incident sparked a big focus on "indecency" on TV and radio. In a weird twist, Bubba became the FCC's "poster child" of what happens to indecent personalities, starting with a fine of $750,000. Clear Channel abruptly fired Bubba and his crew, (click here to read Clear Channel's press release) just HOURS before top management was to appear before FCC commissioners. Clear Channel paid the fine within days. Bubba is reportedly announcing his new plans very soon. Check his web sites for updates: BTLS.com or BubbaArmy.com . Both are also running a continuous free stream of Bubba.

Buckhead

Buckhead, went from being a Power Pig & 93.3FLZ weekender to nights in Las Vegas and before we knew it, we were getting collect calls from Star 98.7/Los Angeles. He went to Detroit to join former 93.3FLZ Program Director Domino (Dom Theodore) to host the Channel 955 night show & was assn't program director. He made a quick trip down south again, Texas-style, at 106.1KISS FM, now north again landing his first morning show gig at Z100/Portland. Keep up with Buck at Buckheadshow.com

Buckwheat

Hear some of Mike's parody bits in the PIG PEN

(aka Mike Waters) He was a character on Three Little Pigs and Fathead & Marc In The Morning shows, later known as Manson when he became part of Bubba The Love Sponge's morning "Bubba Radio Network". Mike is the guy behind a lot of the comedy bits you probably heard on both The Power Pig and Bubba's show.

Bumper Morgan

CLICK LOGO to read some Pig thoughts from BUMPER MORGAN

The unmistakable voice of The Power Pig! The voice of such great Pig liners as "Q105 Sux", "Q105 STILL Sux", "Eat Me", "Don't Get Your Panties In A Wad" and of course "Assume the Position". CLICK HERE to check out his web site. Also, check out his collection of pics of Radio Station vehicles HERE.

Carson

Carson had the tough job of filling the big 93.3FLZ night show shoes left behind by Kane. In 2002, he moved just up the highway to do afternoons at Orlando's dance station 95.3 Party (R.I.P.). Party flipped to an all hip hop format in January 2004, within weeks Carson had landed the night gig on Top 40 station 104KRBE/Houston. For Carson's page CLICK HERE.

Charstar

She had been a Power Pig weekender, did a short lived talk show on 970 WFLA, then moved to promotions at WTMV TV32. She has also worked at Tampa's Coast 107.3 and Spirit 90.5.

CourtneyCampbell

(aka Joyce Mercer) Courtney had been the morning producer for Dr. Don & Jack Harris' on oldies Z93 and she became the third of the Three Little Pigs when the flip to the Power Pig came. She still currently lives in Tampa.

Cowhead

former producer for both Bubba The Love Sponge's Power Pig night show and 98 Rock morning shows. Ironically became a co-host of the Q105 morning show at one point while it was country and is currently one half of the "Cowhead & Brent" morning show on Outlaw 92.5 Country in Tampa. He's also host of the wrestling show Steel Cage on 1010 The Buzz

Dale Doe

(aka Bubba or Dale Flint) Get it though? Dale Doe...Dild.... well any ways... Dale provided the Power Pig with some hysterically funny promos and umm, drank a lot of beer and umm, that's bout it. He became morning co-host with Brian Christopher on 97.7 Pirate Radio & Rock 103.5 in Panama City and is now Program Director and night guy for alternative X101.5 & Program Director of 100.7 The Beat, both in Tallahassee.
