Dave Macejko |
 |
| Power Pig's first "Dave" the General Manager. He came to WFLA/WFLZ in 1988 and helped lead the pack through the transition from Z93's oldies format to the flip to The Power Pig in 1989. When asked by the St. Petersburg Times why he was leaving so soon in the Power Pig's success he simply said, "It's just time to move to another crap table in the casino. |

Dave Mann |

|
| Dave "The Bat" Mann held down the early mornings on both The Power Pig and 93.3FLZ. He has his own very successful voiceover business now and hosts many local TV infomercials. basically, if you watch any television at all, you hear Dave... and often. Check out his web site by CLICKING HERE. |

Dave McKay
|
Dave was brought to Tampa by Q105 when it was still top 40 and held on to him when they flipped formats to country, moving him from mornings to afternoons, even at one point moving him to TV as host of a Q105/CH. 32 Music Video show. In the end, Dave was teamed with Randy Price as afternoon co-host for a rare two man afternoon show on WQYK 99.5. We're not sure if Dave even recalls working those couple weekends for The Pig before the country folk rescued him but whether he admits to it or not, we still like the guy. |

Dave Reinhart |
Fearless General Manager, leader and friend to all from 1990 to August 2004 !! WFLZ wouldn't be what it is without Dave. Straight up, no BS, not afraid to have fun with EVERYONE on his staff. Even still got on the air nearly every day with MJ to discuss that day's drama. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DID DAVE...um, Mr. Reinhart sir.

Dr. Don Carpenter |

|
The man that got to flip that switch to The Power Pig !! Dr. Don and Jack Harris had been the morning team on oldies Z93 and stayed on board through the change as well becoming The Three Little Pigs In The Morning. When Don left The Pig it was for the Motor City Detroit and then later Cincinnati's country stations. He's also the guy behind the very successful
Dr. Don Morning Prep Sheet used by morning shows all across the country. |

Domino
"Dom Theodore" |
(aka Dom Theodore) Dom came to Tampa from Detroit determined to work on The Power Pig. Determination got him production assistant and weekend airshift gigs. Quickly he became host of The Power Jam, did the night show for a while, then moved to middays and became one of only four Program Directors 93.3 has ever had. He is now "throwin down the big sound of the big town back in his hometown Motown" (or Motortown) runnin the show as Operations Manager/Program Director of Top 40 Channel 955, news/talk Talkradio 1310 The X, and sport/talk Sportsradio 1130 WDFN in Detroit and overseeing another half dozen stations as a Top 40 format Brand Manager for Clear Channel. He also dabbled in human breeding a little which resulted in his son Jonathan. |

Ed Zipper |
All we know is that someone in management lost a couple Poker games and then this guy is hangin around the studio a lot. Said he was a pro "comedian". He ended up on the air a few times doin weekends-umm, we laughed alright.

Elvis |
Was a Power Pig weekender that sadly passed away while on the toilet. |
| |
Eric Chase |
Easily the Top 40 format's most talented Creative Services guy there is. Eric is the responsible for the "sound" of 93.3FLZ, from the station ID's to the promos for contests to those silly parody jingles MJ comes up with. Well dammit, he did TOO good a job & went 'n got promoted to Clear Channel's Premiere Radio Networks where he still does the same kinda work, just on a national scale now. CLICK HERE for his site. And he still has his own
voiceover / production business here in Tampa. |

Fingers & Flounder |
The infamous duo of Fingers and Flounder were always hangin around Bubba and later Kramer's night shows. Behind the scenes type of guys that could write and produce funny ass stuff but didn't really need to be seen. (Even the Pig had standards, c'mon). Both since sentenced to radio hell... Flounder now must churn out funny material 23 out of 24 hours a day for over half dozen San Diego Clear Channel stations until 2007. No parole. Fingers was first given the music torture treatment by being in charge of then 103.5 The Dove, when that didn't work, shipped south to Venice to run 92.1WDDV The Dove. Didn't work. Wife and kid. Nope. More kids. Didn't work. Now Executive Producer of MJ's syndicated afternoon talk show "The Schnitt Show". He's still goin...... |
| |
Froggy
"The Original" |
former Executive Producer of the MJ & BJ Morning Show, now Executive Producer for Y-100.7/Miami's Kenny & Footy Morning Show.
...and still a nice guy.

Harrison Dangler |
Yes of course call him "Harry" for short. You may remember him handling the entertainment reports for "Fathead & Marc" in his own very unique way. He was insightful & incite-ful; controversial, compelling but never predictable. Best known in Tampa for his Saturday night talk show "The FLA Lounge" on 970WFLA & for his time as 98 Rock's morning news director. Since leaving Florida, he's done some A&E, ESPN2, NASCAR, his "Reality Bites" segments are syndicated & he spent about a year doing a morning talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio's gay/lesbian channel called OutQ.

Gabe Hobbs |

|
A Power Pig original, Gabe was the first Operations Manager of
Z-93 /
Power Pig before segueing to concentrate on programming Newsradio 970 WFLA down the hall in 1990. WFLA became a highly respected model talk station under Gabe's leadership. It paid off...he's currently VP News/Talk/Sports Programming for Clear Channel's over 250 news/talk stations and is based here in Tampa. |

Gary McHenry |

CLICK LOGO for a history of 93.3FM BEFORE the Pig from GARY McHENRY
|
| Traffic. Lots of it. Over MANY years. In 2005, Gary will celebrate 30 years of reporting traffic in the Tampa Bay area, the bulk of which were on 970 WFLA and 93.3FM's many incarnations before The Power Pig and 93.3FLZ . |

Gator
McClusky |

CLICK LOGO to see pics of GATOR... ummm, REALLY gettin into himself! |
| Gator began as a Power Pig weekender, then Gator "saw us later" when he moved to weeknights 11p-2a. This guy then did some radio time in Panama City on a Pirate station, then he almost did some HARD time over the indecent exposure incident(s)...he claims he DID do the hard time. He doesn't know we meant jail. Lucky for him, radio web siteALL ACCESS didn't know bout it before they hired him as a "guru". (That's what they call it these days). Spurrier leaving the Gators pissed him off, changed his name to Paul in protest. Click here to see him in his guru glory. He's also heard doing weekends on B95.1/Ventura as "Paul Anthony". |
| |
Guido |
(aka Rob D'Amico) One of the more memorable members of Bubba's night show was producer Guido, the man that was always in charge of gettin the"oh so perfect soundin" ladies digits and location for a lil partyin after the show. Guido has held many different positions since then, most notable being the webmaster for all of Clear Channel Tampa's radio stations. His latest success is as host of the nationally syndicated RaceDayOnFox NASCAR radio show on FoxSportsRadio. |
| |
Hardin Long |
|
| (aka Paul Turner) Another original Power Pig weekender with the voice that just instantly told you that his pair rode close to the ground. he also spent a short time as the Power Pig's traffic/Continuity Director before heading to become the very popular voice guy we know and hear every day on CNN, ESPN and as the voice of the Howard Stern Show. CLICK HERE for his site. |
| |
Hawk Harrison |
Started as co-host of The Pig's "Late Night Lunatics" & very quickly moved to afternoons when Tim & Tom left that slot. Hawk is now doing mornings with another former Power Pigger Tom Steele as "Hawk & Tom In The Morning" on B93.7/Greenville, SC where they've on top of the ratings since they arrived.

Jack Harris |

CLICK LOGO to read a great story about Power Pig days from JACK HARRIS
|
| "Howdy, I'm Jack Harris...", words everyone in Tampa Bay has heard many times whether on radio or television or play by play of your favorite sporting event. Currently host of 970 WFLA's morning
show AM Tampa Bay, Jack (along with Dr. Don Carpenter) was the one who actually flipped "switch" from oldies Z93 to The Power Pig. Jack is also very well known for the Power Pig commercial where he appears to be dropping a fish into a blender. |
